A trade mark is your brand name, logo, or strapline protected in law for the goods and services you choose. In the Isle of Man, UK trade mark law applies, so a UK registration protects your brand across the UK and the Isle of Man. That gives you the legal right to stop others using confusingly similar branding for the same or related goods or services.
We prepare the paperwork, draft precise class wording, submit your application, and liaise with the UKIPO so you do not have to. We keep you updated at every stage, and act quickly if issues arise.
We understand Manx company structures and the practicalities of trading from the Island. We advise the most efficient filing route so you avoid duplicate filings and unnecessary fees.
Your trade mark lasts 10 years. We remind you 12 months before expiry and can handle renewal for you. We also advise on correct ® use, maintain evidence of genuine use, and offer watching and marketplace takedown options to protect your brand.
Low-risk, first step. Our £199 Determination report is deeper than a basic search. We check identical and confusingly similar marks, suggest classes, give a green, amber, or red recommendation, and apply the fee as credit if you proceed to filing.
We provide trade mark filing and portfolio support. No outcome can be guaranteed. The UKIPO may raise objections and third parties may oppose an application. Where legal representation is required we work with CITMA regulated UK trade mark professionals.
Pick the level that fits your risk and pace. All prices include the UKIPO official filing fees for up to 2 classes, and VAT applies where relevant. We request payment only after we accept your order and confirm scope.
Low‑risk first step. A deeper human review, not a basic search.
Best value where risk, speed, or enforcement matters. Includes the official fees for up to 2 classes.
Practical filing for straightforward marks. Includes the official fees for up to 2 classes.
We manage your trade mark from first check to certificate, then keep it safe. We draft the specification, file online, liaise with the UKIPO, and handle all correspondence. We set a renewal diary 12 months before expiry and can renew for you. Typical timings: Determination report in 3 to 5 working days, first examination about 20 working days from filing, unopposed registrations in 3 to 6 months. Hearing representation is included with Complete, or added to Essentials for £1,650. Aftercare covers correct ® use, evidence of use, watching, publication monitoring, and marketplace takedowns. We provide filing and portfolio support, not legal advice. Outcomes are not guaranteed. The UKIPO may raise objections, and third parties may oppose.

These examples show the process end to end, from specification drafting to registration. Your mark will follow the same disciplined path.
A UK trade mark registration automatically protects your brand in both the UK and the Isle of Man, turning your name, logo or slogan into an enforceable asset. Without it, you depend on the harder route of passing off. Here’s the comparison:
In short: for service‑based Manx businesses, a UKIPO registration delivers enforceable rights at home and in the UK market, supports brand growth and licensing, and unlocks border and marketplace controls. The alternative, passing‑off and unregistered rights, offers narrower protection, slower enforcement and much greater risk.
You’re taking an important step to protect your brand. Tell us about your business and the mark you want protected; we’ll turn your answers into the correct UK Intellectual Property Office (UKIPO) specification, check for risks, and map the fastest route to registration across the Isle of Man and the UK. Please answer accurately and include any detail that shows how you use the brand. We review every application carefully. Your information is encrypted and handled confidentially under GDPR, and we only request payment after we accept your order.
Your Details
Note. If you are submitting as an 'authorised employee' or 'external representative', we shall contact the legal owner/entity to confirm your authority and request a letter of authority (LOA) before we proceed.

Note. Digital correspondence will be routed from the UKIPO to upleashed® during the registration process, after which it will be updated to your designated email. Postal correspondence will always go to the above (your) address.
The Mark
You can protect a word (the name itself), a logo (the design), or both. A word mark protects the wording in any standard font or colour; a logo mark protects the stylised design as shown. You can protect one, or both in a single application. Example:
SVG/PNG/PDF, up to 10 MB. A single‑colour version is ideal.
Regulated/sensitive terms & protected emblems (optional)
Some words and symbols are routinely checked by the UKIPO (e.g., financial terms like “bank” or “insurance”, official‑status words such as “royal” or “chartered”, and protected emblems like national flags or the Manx triskelion). If any apply, tick the box and add one short sentence saying what the word/symbol is and where it appears (name, logo or slogan), why you’re using it, and any permission/authorisation you hold, or confirm there is no official connection. This lets us confirm whether consent or special wording is needed and keeps your application moving.
What you want protected
Note. Short, specific lines are best; we’ll handle classification numbers and legal phrasing.
